Graduate School

The Graduate School will serve as an avenue for the full development of professionals imbued with knowledge, skills and values to meet the demands of the 21st century along the University’s threefold functions of instruction, research and extension. As seat of excellence in Graduate Education, it will endeavor to:

  1. foster an environment that allows the students and teachers to grow as scholars, researchers and community builders;
  2. promote the highest quality of graduate education by providing in- campus and off-campus academic and non-academic experiences and opportunities for the success of the students in the field
  3. provide opportunity for students to be a catalyst of change not only within higher education but also the community or institution where the student comes from.

 

Program Objectives:

DOCTOR OF EDUCATION (ED.D.)

The Doctor of Education Program aims to:

  1. enrich students’ knowledge and competencies in providing quality education by validating, building and testing educational theories, principles and concepts;
  2. integrate and promote the goals of the Commission on Higher Education toward improvement of the welfare of humankind though relevant quality education;
  3. offer a venue where students and professionals could enhance their managerial  and supervisory skills in the academe;
  4. train teachers, educational leaders and policy-makers who shall work for the betterment of the Philippine Educational System;

 

DOCTOR IN PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION (DPA)

The Doctor of Public Administration Program aims to produce graduates who shall become:

  1. experts in Public Administration who manifest effective, developmental and productive values in decision-making, problem solving and other administrative processes;
  2. professionals imbued with creativity, innovativeness and independence in responding to the issues and challenges of public administration; and
  3. leaders in the society through heightened awareness,  commitment and contribution to the realization of regional and national development through productive scholarships, research-oriented and community-based outreach activities.

 

DOCTOR IN BUSINESS MANAGEMENT (DBM)

The Doctor in Business Management Program  aims to:

  1. provide core knowledge and skills that will afford business stakeholders with necessary competencies to formulate, organize and manage business affairs.
  2. develop students acquire advanced business managerial and leadership skills and ethical values and thereby apply within and across functional business environment.
  3. act with a high level of professionalism imbued with creativity, innovativeness and independence in responding to the issues and challenges in the business affairs.

 

MASTER OF ARTS IN EDUCATION (MAED)

The Master of Arts in Education Program aims to:

  1. train educational leaders equipped with managerial knowledge, skills and attitudes towards the promotion of quality instruction, research, development, extension, and production;
  2. develop teachers who are competent in their field of specialization and committed to quality instruction, research and extension;
  3. imbue Christian ideals among educational leaders and teachers who will be involved in the improvement of the educational system for national development;
  4. equip students with the recent trends and issues affecting the Philippine and global education.

 

MASTER IN PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION (MPA)

The Master in Public Administration Program aims to produce graduates who shall:

  1. display ability for an effective and efficient implementation of public policies and programs imbued with values of responsibility, integrity, competence, loyalty, accountability and professionalism.
  2. translate public policies and programs responsive to the immediate needs of the community.
  3. develop initiatives and approaches to address current issues and problems and facilitate delivery of prompt, adequate, responsive and quality public service.
  4. provide scientific assistance in the research and development of technologies relevant to sustainable development and good governance.

 

The Master in Public Administration Program aims to produce graduates who shall:

  1. display ability for an effective and efficient implementation of public policies and programs imbued with values of responsibility, integrity, competence, loyalty, accountability and professionalism.
  2. translate public policies and programs responsive to the immediate needs of the community.
  3. develop initiatives and approaches to address current issues and problems and facilitate delivery of prompt, adequate, responsive and quality public service.
  4. provide scientific assistance in the research and development of technologies relevant to sustainable development and good governance.

 

MASTER IN  BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION (MBA)

The Master in Business Management Program aims to:

  1. provide the intellectual framework, strategic perspectives and analytical tools needed by the students to meet the challenges of becoming executives and leaders in the business field;
  2. develop students to  acquire managerial and leadership understanding and vision encompassing the business, working effectively within and across functional areas of the entire organization and its environment;
  3. enhance the skills of students who, after their graduate studies, want to get involved in the birth and growth of Philippine enterprises.

 

MASTER IN INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY (MIT)

The Master in Information Technology (MIT) program emphasizes the acquisition of concepts and technologies preparing and enabling the student for the industrial practice of systems integration, systems administration, systems planning, systems implementation and other activities that maintain the integrity and proper functionality of a system and its components. The program also prepares students to manage significant software development projects and to lead teams of information technology professionals engaged in design, analysis, implementation, and service delivery.

The MIT program aims to produce graduates who:

  1. have the ability to implement information technology (IT) concepts, techniques and principles, and skills to provide solutions to problems of organizations and society.
  2. have the skills necessary to deploy and manage effectively the technology, people and process involved in a complex and constantly changing business environment.
  3. have the ability to examine the legal, social, ethical, and technical issues related to information systems and to securing information systems.
  4. can utilize graduate level critical thinking, reasoning, and writing to defend the logic and the conclusions in scholarly research.

 

MASTER IN  ENGINEERING (ME)

The Master in Engineering Program aims to:

  1.  strengthen the students professional capabilities and thereby make distinct contributions to the society. Moreover, to provide advanced formal preparation for the nation’s engineering manpower, henceforth fulfill the technological needs of the society.
  2. instill in the student the desire and sense of determination to constantly reexamine his technical competence, and therefore become aware of current trends and developments in engineering and other technological fields.
  3.  equip practitioners in Engineering with broad and comprehensive skills necessary in the actual practice, including supervisory and managerial engineering and technological work.

 

MASTER OF SCIENCE IN NURSING (MSN)

The MSN program is aimed at producing nurses who demonstrate active participation and leadership in professional health organizations, community service, and commitment to lifelong learning for efficient and nurturing health education and practice.

Graduates from the Master of Science programs will:

  1. Use progressive knowledge and skills to develop/implement an advanced nursing role in specialized areas.
  2. Integrate advanced knowledge and skills to provide high quality care for individuals, families, and population groups.
  3. Demonstrate leadership to influence positively the development, implementation, and evaluation of health policy and health care delivery.
  4.  Stimulate multidisciplinary collaboration toward the improvement of health care delivery, education, research, and service.
